THE STORY OF HOW MAZARRÓN CAME TO PLAY BARCELONA.

In the 1981/82 season, the club competed in the Murcian Regional Preferente division with a squad of young players.  They were also entered in the Spanish Amateur Championship (Campeonato de España de Aficionados Sub 23).

So near…..but runners-up to Barcelona can’t be all that bad!  And, as well as competing in all these tough games, the team also managed to gain promotion to the Tercera division that same year.
